K-Pop Demon Hunters Review | Is It Worth Watching?
Hey, is Kimme with a new review today. In the spotlight will be K-pop Demon Hunters, so let’s jump into it.
Was It Boring?
Absolutely not. The show is very far from boring. It has all the things you’ll need to keep you entertained: it has action, it has a brief romance, it has gore, it has lessons. So no, by all means, it is not boring.
Was It Obscene?
Of course we have to ask ourselves. Was it obscene? Considering that it was made for kids, programmed for kids, directed to kids, targeted for kids, I would hope that it wouldn’t have been obscene, and my hope came true because K-pop Demon Hunters it is not. It is a kids’ movie.
There is a bit of romance going on in the movie, but it’s a very soft romance. The focus was more on the heroine than on the romance, so there was nothing obscene about it in any way.
Did It Make Sense?
Now, did it make sense? Did it flow together? Yes, it made absolute sense. The flow was phenomenal. The pace was great. It was the perfect amount of scenes for the perfect amount of emotions for the perfect amount of time. Nothing was dragged. Nothing was stretched.
It was like: this is what’s going on, this is a problem represented, this is how we overcame it, and this is how we’re gonna continue. Straight to the point, no drag at all.
Did It Have a Climax and Good Pacing?
Yes. Everything that was done, even from the beginning, foreshadowed what was coming.
Is It Worth a Rewatch?
Heck yeah. To be transparent, I watched this two times. The first time, it was actually put on in the background while I was working on a project, and I decided to pay more attention to it because the songs were great songs—100%. These songs are amazing, like they should have their own playlist.
I liked it, but I said in order to give my honest review, I’m going to watch it again one more time and give it my full attention. And yes, it was really worth what I’m about to write. I watched it, I paid full attention.
There were some parts that I missed the first time, which made the story come together a little bit better, but it didn’t take away from anything before when I didn’t know. So absolutely, this is an amazing story.
Would You Keep It in Your Collection?
If they unplugged the internet and you had a collection of movies, would this be in your collection? Would it be worth it to put it in your collection? Yes. It’s very entertaining. You can watch it again and again and notice new things about it, figure out new things about it. So absolutely, it is a collectible.
Lessons for Adults?
Did it teach anything useful for us recovering adults? Yeah. I think this movie is also for adult women. It has so many messages. One of the ones that I took away the most was, it sounds a little generic, but you really have to believe in yourself and push forward.
Accept your flaws. Accept your faults. Accept all the things you try so hard to keep hidden and are so ashamed of. Instead, just accept yourself, forgive yourself, change what you can, and move on.
And also, keep the focus on yourself. Everybody else is just a character in your book, but you’re the main character in your own book. So you must always remember yourself and believe in yourself.
Final Rating of K-Pop Demon Hunters
And that wraps up my review of K-pop Demon Hunters. Definitely four stars.
It would be 4.5, but:
the language is not really geared for me,
the romance was useless,
and some of the lyrics were a little harsh even though it targeted kids.
As an adult movie, I would give this a 4.0. Parents, you’re gonna have to watch this one for yourself when it comes to smaller children and unconscious things being said in the lyrics.
